Our Work
Climate Change Emergency: Health and a Million Trees
Our committee presented
Climate Change Emergency: Health and a Million Trees featuring Dr. Richard H. Gammon, Dr.Jon Witte, and Elby Jones. These experts discussed the risks of climate change and human actions that contribute to it. Take the
Carbon Footprint Quiz introduced in the presentation. Answer the questions about carbon footprint of greenhouse Gas (GHG) sources in the United States and climate change mitigation. You’ll get correct answers and more information on ways to reduce your personal carbon footprint.
The committee created the video
Impacts of the Growth Management Act in Snohomish County. Tim Trohimovich, Director of Planning and Law at Futurewise talks about tools the Growth Management Act provides for better planning; how the Puget Sound Regional Council Vision 2050 will influence planning in Snohomish County; and how Snohomish County Tomorrow will influence the Comprehensive Plan Update.
