On November 9, hear from Ben Thompson, the Urban and Community Forestry (UCF) Program Manager for the Washington State Department of Natural Resources. He will detail the Washington State “Evergreen Community Act,” recently funded during the 2021 legislative session. An ardent Arbor Day enthusiast, Ben will highlight the many benefits of trees.
On November 16 at 7:00 PST Lisa Dulude, Manager of the Snohomish County Office of Energy and Sustainability, will describe the “Healthy Forest Project” undertaken in Snohomish County in partnership with Forterra. She will emphasize the important role volunteers play in caring for the environment.
