Celebrate Constitution Day: A Community Reading of the US Constitution and Bill of Rights

Lisa Utter | Published on 9/8/2025

Celebrate Constitution Day

The LWVSC is organizing seven events in the county to celebrate the 247th anniversary of the signing of the Constitution Sept. 17, 1787, and the first ten amendments (Bill of Rights), which was signed in 1789. We will be inviting the public to come and learn what our Constitution really says and the rights that we are guaranteed by the Bill of Rights.

Events will be held in libraries in Edmonds, Everett, Lynnwood, Marysville, Monroe, and Snohomish, as well as at the Snohomish County Campus in Everett.

There will be community readings of the documents, distribution of pocket Constitutions, and information about the LWV's concern about the current constitutional crisis.

Sept. 14, Sunday, 2:00-3:30 P.M., Edmonds Library.
Sept. 15, Monday, 12:00-2:00 P.M., Everett Snohomish County Campus.
