Redistricting Reform Local Action Group

Whew! It’s been an interesting few days (weeks) for a topic that usually does not attract much attention unless you are interested in politics.
Most League members know that LWVWA has established a task force that is working to develop legislation to reform the redistricting process that happens every ten years after the census. During the past several months, the state team and our local team have been focused on educating members about redistricting here in Washington and in other states.
LWVUS CEO Celina Stewart objected to midterm redistricting efforts: "The League of Women Voters is ready to fight to ensure fairness for voters, no matter what politicians do for their own gain." Read her full statement
here and discover more
here.
The goal of our local group is to support the efforts of the state committee. We are currently looking at hosting an educational session for our members.
Everyone is welcome to join the action group. Interested? Contact
