2024 General Election Candidate Forum Grid
The general election is coming up and your Candidate Forum Team is planning a robust fall forum series. We are focusing on 10 legislative and judicial races and continue our partnership with Dave Moon and his team of students at Sultan School District’s Turk Pride TV. All local forums will be live streamed to our League YouTube channel and available as podcasts! Most recordings will also be re-aired on KSER 90.7 FM/KXIR 89.9 FM. You can find the full schedule and links on our Candidate Forums page. (Remember, voters can always access recordings of our primary election forums from the same links.)

And there is more! We are partnering with the State League to host an in-person debate. LWVWA is inviting candidates for two statewide races: Secretary of State and Insurance Commissioner. Our moderator will be Edmonds’s own Teresa Wippel from My Neighborhood News Network. TVW will broadcast and stream the debate live from Edmonds College Black Box Theatre.

Here’s our working schedule. We are in the process of inviting candidates, so this schedule may change over the next few weeks as we learn candidate availability.

Here's how you can help:
  • We will need members to serve as greeters and ushers during the in-person debate. Watch for a volunteer opportunity posting soon, then please sign up for a volunteer shift on our website.
  • Let’s encourage participation! Share our posts and links with your network of friends and neighbors.
  • Watch the Live Stream of our local forums on our League YouTube Channel. Once the recordings are posted, watch or listen again…then share the links through your networks.
Remember, these candidates are applying for a job. We think of our forums as job interviews – and we as voters are doing the hiring. Let’s hear from the candidates and be ready to cast an informed vote on November 5th.

A big thank you to Forum Team members and the members of our 2024 Forum Partnership Coalition: AAUW, Edmonds College, The Daily Herald, KSER/KXIR, NAACP – Snohomish County, Sno-Isle Libraries, Sultan School District and TurkPride.tv.
